They can be made almost flush with the hem of the skirt, then it will look fashionable.High shoulders are even good, another thing is their width, here it is exaggerated by three centimeters, it can be reduced. And I suggest playing a little with the sleeve: either make it narrower and lengthen, or leave it wide, like in a kimono. The option with a narrowed sleeve will give additional drapery, which will emphasize a thin brush.

Do Burda models of those years make you nostalgic?

I met Burda before the beginning of the 80s. In our house lived a dressmaker who brought fashion magazines from abroad. She sewed outfits to my mother and then to me - precisely according to the Burda patterns. Later, when I was preparing to enter the Textile Institute and during my studies, Burda magazine was very useful to me. I remember how I sewed a coat, narrowed from below, with huge shoulders, in a fashionable red and black color scheme - it was a time of contrasts!
