Anna Crash from New York makes original lamps. Pure chance led her to open her own art studio.

It all started with a bad purchase. Anna purchased a lamp that simply did not fit her room. For a while, she took her to a far corner, but the annoyance from this failure was so great that Anna one day began to wrap it with different yarn - residues that turned out to be as unnecessary as the lamp itself. “It lasted forever,” says Anna. "My homeworkers decided that I was crazy. Honestly, I underestimated the amount of work, nevertheless I found the strength to finish it. Now I have acquired certain skills, and this monotonous work seems to me a pleasant meditation."
In fact, Anna moved with her family to the United States not so long ago - they fled from the war in Serbia. Hence the unwillingness to throw away even unnecessary things. And indeed - any old thing can, if desired, be completely transformed and continued to be used in one form or another. “Yes, I now live in the United States and am used to the way of life here,” Anna says. “But still I feel my connection with my homeland. We, the Serbs, are inherent to concentrate on simple crafts, and it is in them that we find the beautiful!”
Now Anna has her own studio, she collaborates with well-known brands that are engaged in knitwear and yarn.Nevertheless, she still does all the work herself and manually.
