We present the winner of the competition for the best models of the autumn-winter season 2019/20, sewn according to Burda Style patterns, Natasha Galchenko from Moscow.
It is hard to imagine that a few years ago, Natasha was completely unable to sew and considered this activity rather boring. Having received three educations - pedagogical, psychological and economic - she managed to work as a teacher in a school leading on television, as a chef in a restaurant and write two cookbooks. But most importantly, Natasha became the mistress of a large family and raised four beautiful children. When her husband gave her a sewing machine, as it turned out, with a long sight, she did not dare to approach her for a long time. But since I got used to doing everything thoroughly, I decided to go to study again and to this day considers it a great success that the choice fell on the Burda Academy. Natasha recalls: “I came to the Academy with a“ clean sheet of paper ”and immediately came to the excellent teacher Irina Strong. Friendly, responsive, incredibly patient and professional, she put a lot of effort into me. I went to her almost every day for all courses and a master classes for six years. The training went through various stages: at first I sewed a lot and quickly - it was important to understand that I could do this. Then, when the euphoria from the first successes passed, I began to work more slowly and carefully, delving into the details and nuances of sewing. Now, when I see all the flaws, it is already impossible to leave any, even small, inaccuracy.

When we have a family entrance to the theater, I quietly rejoice that my son and husband are in my trousers, vests and jackets, my daughters are in my dresses, and of course I am, too. Although I still can’t believe that all this clothing is the work of my hands, and that I really CAN sew! , beloved styles, excellent fit - and even her short stature can be turned into a dignity! At the same time, Natasha does not just create separate models, she likes to think in images, come up with ensembles, combine things with each other. the whole friendly family (unfortunately, only the eldest daughter and husband, living in Berlin, could not come), Natasha constantly gushing with ideas and charged everyone around with incredible energy and positive emotions.
