Parisian fashion is many-sided, but always to one degree or another daring and mischievous. Ackermann presents a new French style at Fashion Weeks ...

"The only worthy follower of Chanel," Karl Lagerfeld once said of him. “The new trendsetter,” is called Haider Ackermann in fashion circles.

Hyder Ackermann - lover of mixes. And this is not surprising: the designer was born in Colombia (in Bogota, in 1971), where he was adopted by a French family, now lives in Antwerp (Belgium), and spent his childhood and adolescence with his parents in Ethiopia, Chad, Algeria, then in France and The Netherlands. Inspired by the work of John Galliano, Hyder moved to Belgium in 1994 and entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (RoyalAcademyofFineArt) in Antwerp. After completing the course, Hyder trained for 5 months at Galliano, then became an assistant to his teacher, the famous Belgian designer WimNils. In the following years, he worked for many brands until he became a Mayerline brand designer.
In 2001, Haider Ackermann created his first collection of women's clothing and debuted with her at Spring Fashion Week in Paris. His collections for 2002 attracted the attention of the Ruffo Fashion House, which specializes in premium leather clothing, and Hyder created two collections for the RuffoResearch brand: spring-summer and autumn-winter 2003/2004.
In 2004, Haider Ackermann signed an agreement with the BVBA32 group and moved his studio to Paris, his favorite city.
The designer has been influenced by a variety of cultures all his life, this has led to the fact that in each of his models there are many contrasts. In his patterns there is a lot of asymmetry, in one part of the wardrobe he often combines different materials. His urban models are intended primarily for modern, independent, dynamic women who do not look back on tradition. Its silhouettes are feminine, and at the same time, the effect of androgenicity is felt in them. They put the weak sex on an equal footing with the strong. Not without reason fans of his style became such celebrities as Tilda Swinton, Penelope Cruz, Victoria Beckham, Janet Jackson.
In June 2013, the BVBA32 group split into 2 companies: DEMEULEMEESTER and ACKERMANN.
