A skirt-skirt and decorates the bed, and allows you to hide the base and legs, if necessary.

A detail of the decor in a romantic vintage style, a skirt-gap for the bed, will not only decorate the bed, but also hide, for example, the base and legs of the bed, if for some reason you need to do it. The skirt is attached with Velcro, so it is easy to remove it to wash (or replace it with a similar decor in a different style / color).

DIY headboard

Step 1

Measure the bed with the mattress to determine the length and width of the gap. The length of the tape will be equal to the perimeter of the mattress + 2−3 cm overlapping width - the distance from the top of the mattress to the floor (or slightly less if you want the gap to not touch the floor).

Step 2

It is better to wash, dry and iron the fabric before work. Cut out the detail of the gap (or several parts that will be sewn into one strip) according to the taken measurements + allowances for seams and hem.

Step 3

Sew the parts in one strip. Twist, iron, and pin the edges of the strip with pins.

Step 4

Hem a gap from all directions.Pin the braid to the bottom edge and stitch it.

Step 5

Cut Velcro into 2–3 cm pieces. Mark out the places where you will sew them to the mattress and the gap.

Step 6

Sew the velcro pieces to the mattress manually, and stitch it to the gap. Done.
