From an ordinary shirt, you can make an original one by adding interesting details or, conversely, cutting off the excess.

Shirt with shuttlecock: master class

Photo: unventdemode.com

Using the technology of this master class, you can add a wider shuttlecock or a narrow frill to your shirt, decorating only the shelves of the shirt or the back, too. If you sewed a shirt yourself and the fabric remains, there are more opportunities. If you have a finished shirt, focus on its length - so as not to cut too much, making the final version too short.

You will need:

- shirt;

- tailor's scissors;

- pins;

- threads and a needle;

- sewing machine;

- iron.

1. Iron the shirt. Chip the front and back with pins, measure the width of the fabric for the shuttlecock from below (in this case, the cut-off part will be equal to the width of the shuttlecock x2) and cut.

2. Work on the bottom of the shirt.

3. From the part of the shirt intended for the shuttlecock, cut the trims. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise and cut. Trim the fabric: you should get the details in the form of even stripes.

4. Sew the stripes along the short sides of the shuttlecock. Work on the short and one of the long sides of the shuttlecock, tucking and sewing, and process the second long side with a zigzag.Sweep and pick up the zigzag long side.

5. Mark on the shirt the line along which you will sew the shuttlecock. Take the gathered shuttlecock to the shirt and stitch it. Done!

V-neck blouse embroidered with braid: workshop

Photo: lagouagouache.com

In a similar way, you can remake and decorate both a women's shirt and a men's shirt, turning it into a women's blouse.

You will need:

- shirt;

- suitable braid;

- sewing machine;

- pins;

- tailor's scissors;

- thread, needle.

1. Cut off the cuffs and collar from the shirt. Decide on the depth of the V-shaped cut and cut off the excess fabric on the shelves at the neck. Turn up and process a mouth and sleeves.

2. Tape the shoulder seam with pins. It can be sewn on a typewriter or sewn by hand with a blind seam. Done!

P. S. If you wish, you can make the cutout not V-shaped, but round, oval or in the shape of a boat - in any case, the shirt, rid of the usual strict collar, takes on a more informal look and most often looks feminine and charming.

Shirt with open shoulders: a master class

Photo: makerist. de

Such a summer loose blouse can be made from a man’s shirt or from a woman’s, rather large size.

You will need:

- shirt;

- wide elastic (about 2 meters);

- pins;

- threads and a needle;

- sewing machine.

1.Lay the shirt down on the work surface and outline the cut line for the collar. Cut off the top of the shirt.

2. Attach an elastic tape to the cut off top of the shirt - you will need to make a drawstring for this tape. Measure the desired width of the turn, pin it with pins and sew, forming a drawstring.

3. Thread the elastic into the drawstring. Sew the edges manually from the inside out.

4. Cut the sleeves of the shirt to the desired length, make a drawstring from below and thread through a non-elastic band, the ends of which are sewn together. Done!
