The main prize of the anniversary BURDA quiz - a trip to Milan, was received by our readers Galina and Elena Skorodumova.

They say that real fashion is born in Milan, becomes an adult in Paris, it is applauded and imitated in New York, and at the end of her brilliant career, she returns home again to give life to a new fashion. World Famous Homes Missoni, Ferre, Prada, Trussardi, Dolce & Gabbana and others owe their success to Milan. Here Walter Albini created, personifying the brilliant era of the 70s in the Italian fashion industry, and began their ascent to the fashionable Olympus Giorgio Armani and Gianni Versace. Milan Fashion Week famous for its luxury and has been held since 1979 under the patronage of the Italian National Fashion Chamber. Fashion shows for women are held in February and September, and for men in January and June. Only professionals and celebrities can get there, but in 2009 the government of Milan announced a program Milano loves fashionto introduce the inhabitants of the city and numerous tourists to the world of haute couture. On the giant screens installed in different areas of Milan, you can see the most important events of the Week, and impromptu fashion shows are organized right on the streets and even in the subway.

If you are unable to arrive in Milan at this time, do not worry: you can always visit the Fashion Museum in the Palazzo Morando, take a walk through the Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery with magnificent mosaic floors - it is considered to be a visiting card of Milan - or look into the Fashion Quarter where the boutiques are located Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Valentino, Armani, Louis Vuitton and other cult brands. However, there are shops for any wallet that become especially attractive in the sales season. And in the Milan Montmartre area (via Brera, Madonnina), besides art galleries, you can also find shops with antiques, unique items of clothing, rare fabrics and handmade accessories. No wonder this city is called the Mecca of shopaholics. What you see in shops and on the streets of Milan today will become fashionable in other parts of the world in a year. And even if you are not able to get what you liked, the creative energy of the city will inspire you. Our readers experienced a sense of inspiration. Galina and Elena Skorodumovswho received the main prize of the anniversary BURDA quiz - a trip to Milan. Galina, a student at the Moscow Institute of Art and Industry, is preparing to become a designer, and for her, a little vacation in the fashion capital has become a new source of ideas. She did not part with her camera and captured literally every moment of this trip. Together with mother Elena, a mathematics teacher and a tailor with a long history, they managed not only to climb the roof of the Duomo cathedral beloved by all Milanese, go to Lake Como, visit the Museum of Modern Art, but also find great places for shopping - for example, the Etro outlet at via Spartaco, where in addition to clothes, shoes, bags, amazing fabrics are sold. In a word, the fashionable trip was a success!

We express our gratitude to our partners who organized the trip: Alitalia Airlines, the PAC GROUP tour operator and the "1001 Tour" travel agency network.
